Voting Question: UDC for premed or UMD?

So I'm graduating from GW with a 3.1 gpa and want to go to med school (and have completed pre med requirements). Obviously I'm going to have to do some more coursework if I hope to get in anywhere. I plan to do p-chem bio-chem calculus and maybe redo bio 1. Q is I'm a dc resident and UDC is mad cheap. However I've heard that UDC won't look nearly as good on a transcript as a place like UMD. I might be able to get Maryland residency but that might entail payin md and dc taxes then for this year. Any thoughts on if taking pre med class at UDC will look subpar?
